Making Brownies:
A step-by-step Guide

Ingredients:

Optionals!

  • Chocolate chips
  • Chopped nuts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350F(175C). Then grease + lightly flour on a 20*20cm baking pan.
  • Melt the butter on low heat in a microwave-safe bowl or saucepan.
  • Stir granulated sugar into the melted butter until it's mixed well.
  • Add eggs and vanilla extract into the bowl and mix well.
  • In a separated bowl, sift cocoa powder,flour, salt and baking powder together. Then mix them together into the first mixture bowl well.
    *Optional: Throw in some chocolate chips/nuts into the mixture to add more yumminess!

  • Mix until there is no streaks of flour.
  • Pour the brownie batter into the baking pan and bake in the preheated oven for around approx. 25-30 mins.You can use a toothpick and insert into the batter to see if it's baked.(not wet batter)
  • Once the brownies are baked and ready to serve, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan or wire rack before serving.
